Questions:
Answers:
- What types of cartridges do you accept?
We accept inkjet, laser, fax, and printer cartridges. All cartridges sent to us must be manufactured by their Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and must also be new (i.e. never recycled before) and unbroken. If a cartridge is broken or if it has already been remanufactured, we cannot recycle it. For a complete list of the types of cartridges we are currently accepting, please see our
Qualifying Cartridges
page. Furthermore, if you would like to see a list of every cartridge we are currently buying and the price we are paying per cartridge, please see our
Current Price List.
- What brands of cartridges do you accept?
For a complete list of the brands of cartridges we are currently accepting, please see our
Qualifying Cartridges page. Unfortunately, we cannot accept Epson cartridges at this time. For a list of every cartridge we are currently buying and the price we are paying per cartridge, please our
Current Price List .
- How do I get paid?
Upon receipt of your cartridges, we inspect to make sure that they can be recycled. A cartridge cannot be recycled if it is broken, if it has already been remanufactured, or if it is a compatible cartridge (i.e. an Office Depot laser cartridge). We will pay you for the cartridges that can be recycled according to the price(s) listed on our web site at the time your request for a cartridge shipment is received. Upon receipt of your cartridges, we will inspect your cartridges and issue you a detailed receiving report along with your check. Please allow 5 business days to receive your check in the mail for your recycling effort.
- How do I know if my cartridge is remanufactured, compatible or new/OEM?
Under U.S. Copyright Law, a remanufactured or compatible cartridge cannot have the brand name or logo displayed on the cartridge or, if the brand name or logo are displayed, an accompanying sticker must also be displayed which lets the buyer know that this cartridge was not made by the OEM. The best way to know if your cartridge qualifies is to look for a sticker on the cartridge which indicates whether it is an OEM cartridge or not. Unfortunately, we cannot recycle nor can we pay for cartridges we have previously been recycled or were not manufactured by their OEM.
- How do I send the cartridges to you?
Once you have logged-in to the Participant Area and submitted a list of the cartridges you wish to recycle, we will issue you a FedEx return shipping label via e-mail to your e-mail address on file. Print the FedEx label and attatch it to the box(es) you wish to send in. You will need to pack the cartridges in a secure manner (i.e. individually wrapped with newspaper or some other means of cushioning between them) because we cannot pay for cartridges which are broken when we receive them. Once your shipping label is issued to you via e-mail and, subsequently, we have received and checked your cartridges, your recycling check will be mailed to you within 5 business days.
- Why do I need to sign up?
In order to effectively serve you and make sure that your payments for your recycling efforts are processed efficiently, it is necessary for us to have an address where we can send your checks and a telephone number and e-mail address where we can contact you in case a question or a problem arises.
- Why do you need a fax number?
Your shipping label will be sent to the fax number you provide us with. In order to efficiently send your cartridges in for recycling, we need a fax number where we can send your shipping label. For those persons who don't have a fax number, it is possible for your shipping label to be sent via e-mail to you in an Adobe PDF format.
- How many cartridges can I send in one shipment?
In order to serve you better and maximize your time and effort, we require at least 10 cartridges in a shipment.
- How soon will I receive my check?
Upon receipt of your shipment, your cartridges will be inspected and your check will be mailed to you within 5 business days.
- Can I receive more information in the mail?
Why wait for days to receive information in the mail when everything you need to get started recycling is available on our web site TODAY? If you do not find enough information in either this portion of our site or in the Participant Area of our site, please do not hesitate to
